Mr. Beylin, MS, MBA, is an interim executive director of LONGMILE and CEO of LONGMILE’s parent Brain Biosciences, Inc. Previously, Mr.Beylin served as a Program Director at the National Cancer Institute, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at X/Seed Capital, and a VP of Research at Naviscan PET Systems. He is a board-certified medical physicist, with an MBA from University of Maryland. Mr.Beylin currently serves on board of directors of Otomagnetics, Inc.
Pavel Stepanov, MS, MA
Director, Product Development
Mr. Stepanov is a Director of Product Development at LONGMILE and VP of Engineering at Brain Biosciences, Inc. Earlier, Mr.Stepanov held various positions at Naviscan PET Systems, including Vice President of Product Development, focusing on design, development, regulatory clearance, and production of high-resolution Positron Emission Tomography devices. Prior to working in medical device industry, Mr. Stepanov was a physicist at Novosibirsk Nuclear Physics Institute in Russia and Boston University. He holds Masters in High Energy Physics and Bachelors in Business Administration from Novosibirsk State University (Russia).
Val Zavarzin, MS
Mr. Zavarzin is a Director of Research and Development at LONGMILE, and Chief Technology Officer at Brain Biosciences, Inc. Earlier, Mr.Zavarzin held various positions at Naviscan PET Systems, including Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Naviscan, Mr.Zavarzin held various positions at Boston University and Novosibirsk Nuclear Physics Institute in Russia. He holds Masters degree in High Energy Physics from Novosibirsk State University (Russia).
Ruslan Melnikov, MS
Mr.Melnikov is a Production Manager at LONGMILE and is responsible for coordination of all aspects of PET scanner production. Previously, Mr.Melnikov held several technical and quality assurance positions of increasing responsibility with several engineering and high-technology firms. Mr.Melnikov holds Masters degree in Welding Technology from National Technical University of Ukraine.
Sergey Anishchenko, PhD
Director, MotionTracking Pgm
Dr. Sergey Anishchenko is a Senior Computational Scientist and Director of Motion Tracking Program at LONGMILE. Dr. Anishchenko received Ph.D. degree in Computer Vision from Middlesex University, London, UK with doctoral dissertation focused on PET motion compensation. Previously, Dr. Anishchenko served as Senior Researcher at the Research Institute for Neurocybernetics, Rostov-on-Don, Russia, and as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Irving Weinberg MD, PhD
Dr. Irving Weinberg MD, PhD, is the President of Weinberg Medical Physics and Advisor at LONGMILE. Dr. Weinberg has spent two decades launching startups in the medical device field. He has had a part in launching four FDA-approved products and has served as President of Naviscan PET Systems, Inc, which he founded. His early career began as an experimental plasma physicist at the University of California at Irvine. He is a member of advisory boards at UCLA and George Mason University.
